As the music and live event industries seek to rebuild, the idea of ‘safety’ is now at the forefront. With policy mandating an overhaul in how events and event spaces will function, what opportunities exist in this moment to build a truly safer, more accessible industry? How (and why) should the industry balance patrons need for safety based on identity with the financial and public health challenges posed by COVID-19.
